AARP’s Important PA Business Survey on Retirement Security
Many stories point the way toward the adoption of a retirement security program for working Pennsylvanians, it’s just that not all of those stories are specific to our efforts — or Pennsylvanians.
But this is very specific to both:
An AARP survey of small business owners, released this summer, shows an overwhelming majority “agree the state should do more to encourage residents to save for retirement.”
A solid majority of those same surveyed small business owners are worried about their employees’ readiness for their so-called “golden years.”
And, 86 percent — 86 percent! — believe PA lawmakers should support a state retirement savings option.
Alright small business owners!!
Most likely, working Pennsylvanians like you who WANT lawmakers to move on this issue — and have contacted them to get them moving — will have to wait for the next two-year legislative session to see any traction.
MyRetirementPA.com will not stop working on this front until working Pennsylvanians get what they want and need. We’re pleased AARP is with us in this effort, and have produced more solid evidence to get this done.
